Get ready for an incredibly exciting and energetic year full of discovery and exploration leading to amazing growth in your child! Our preschool is a place where kids are allowed to be kids. We give positive encouragement and gentle nudges push your child to notice, experience, and celebrate the world in which God created for us. We sing (a ton!) and dance our way through each preschool day. Preschool is a place where children learn to take risks, make messes and mistakes and try new things. Learning the importance of loving, caring for and respecting our friends is our ambition.

Debbie Koller
Lead Teacher
Meet Mrs. Koller, an experienced educator with a passion for nurturing young minds. Mrs. Koller holds a degree in elementary education from Illinois State University and has dedicated 14 years of her career to shaping the futures of little learners at AGC. Prior to this, she spent several years teaching 4th grade, providing a well-rounded perspective on the education journey. Mrs. Koller is committed to creating a positive and engaging learning environment for every child she encounters.
Leslie Hinton
Assistant Teacher
Mrs. Hinton is a valued member of our team joining the AGC family five years ago. Her strong connection to our preschool is highlighted by the fact that all three of her daughters attended preschool here. With her extensive experience and personal understanding of the AGC journey as a parent, Mrs. Hinton is well-equipped to support our teachers and create a warm and nurturing environment for all the children in her care. Mrs. Hinton’s exceptional creativity and organizational skills greatly enhance the effectiveness of our program.
Pastor Ron
Pastor Ron brings a vibrant and familial presence to our community as the lead pastor at the Lutheran Church of Mahomet, having become an integral part of our congregation in September 2021. Beyond his role as a spiritual leader, he enriches the preschool experience through engaging weekly pastor chats with the children. As a father to five girls, Pastor Ron’s nurturing spirit is evident in these interactions. He showcases his passion for music by playing the guitar, creating an atmosphere of joy and togetherness.
Ashley Jensen
Director
Mrs. Jensen is our preschool director and one of our dedicated 3 year old teachers. She holds a degree in elementary education from Bradley University and previously taught 4th grade. Now entering her third year as director and second year in the classroom, she brings a strong educational background and a deep love for early childhood development. Mrs. Jensen finds joy in seeing her students' smiling faces each day and helping them grow with confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning.
Liza Raquel
Assistant Teacher
Mrs. Raquel is an invaluable member of our team, holding nine years of teaching experience at AGC. With a background in engineering, she brings a diverse skill set to the preschool setting, fostering an environment where curiosity and creativity thrive. Her caring and patient nature, along with her many hidden talents like speaking Spanish and a love for gardening, enrich the learning environment for our young students. We're fortunate to have Mrs. Raquel as part of our team, and her passion for early childhood education shines through in everything she does.
Katie Deem
Assistant Teacher
We are thrilled to welcome Katie Deem to our preschool team! Katie was a dedicated and dependable substitute teacher last year. This year, she will be assisting Mrs. Jensen in the 3 year old classroom. Katie holds a teaching degree from Illinois State University, is a proud mom of three wonderful boys, and is also an AGC parent. Her passion for early childhood education and her warm, nurturing nature make her a perfect fit for our team.
