Get ready for an incredibly exciting and energetic year full of discovery and exploration leading to amazing growth in your child! Our preschool is a place where kids are allowed to be kids. We give positive encouragement and gentle nudges push your child to notice, experience, and celebrate the world in which God created for us. We sing (a ton!) and dance our way through each preschool day. Preschool is a place where children learn to take risks, make messes and mistakes and try new things. Learning the importance of loving, caring for and respecting our friends is our ambition.

Ashley Jensen
Director
Meet Mrs. Jensen, our dedicated director brings a wealth of educational experience to AGC. She holds a degree in elementary education from Bradley University and has an impressive background in teaching. This year, she transitioned her passion for education into a role supporting our team behind the scenes. Ashley is committed to ensuring the smooth operation of our preschool, drawing on her valuable experience and genuine love for children's growth and development.
2024-2025 Mrs. Jensen is thrilled to also be teaching one of our 3 year old classes!
Debbie Koller
Lead Teacher
Meet Mrs. Koller, an experienced educator with a passion for nurturing young minds. Mrs. Koller holds a degree in elementary education from Illinois State University and has dedicated 12 years of her career to shaping the futures of little learners at AGC. Prior to this, she spent several years teaching 4th grade, providing a well-rounded perspective on the education journey. Mrs. Koller is committed to creating a positive and engaging learning environment for every child she encounters.
Liza Raquel
Assistant Teacher
Mrs. Raquel is an invaluable member of our team, holding seven years of teaching experience at AGC. With a background in engineering, she brings a diverse skill set to the preschool setting, fostering an environment where curiosity and creativity thrive. Her caring and patient nature, along with her many hidden talents like speaking Spanish and a love for gardening, enrich the learning environment for our young students. We're fortunate to have Mrs. Raquel as part of our team, and her passion for early childhood education shines through in everything she does.
Leslie Hinton
Assistant Teacher
Mrs. Hinton is a valued member of our team joining the AGC family three years ago. Her strong connection to our preschool is highlighted by the fact that all three of her daughters attended preschool here. With her extensive experience and personal understanding of the AGC journey as a parent, Mrs. Hinton is well-equipped to support our teachers and create a warm and nurturing environment for all the children in her care. Mrs. Hinton’s exceptional creativity and organizational skills greatly enhance the effectiveness of our program.
Pastor Ron
Pastor Ron brings a vibrant and familial presence to our community as the lead pastor at the Lutheran Church of Mahomet, having become an integral part of our congregation in September 2021. Beyond his role as a spiritual leader, he enriches the preschool experience through engaging weekly pastor chats with the children. As a father to five girls, Pastor Ron’s nurturing spirit is evident in these interactions. He showcases his passion for music by playing the guitar, creating an atmosphere of joy and togetherness.
